“Business Life” magazine for example viewed Karlsruhe as the next “Silicon Valley.” Karlsruhe was placed fifth in this European ranking as the only German city in the poll.

Karlsruhe University, its technical colleges and research establishments have an excellent international reputation. Karlsruhe claims the highest concentration of scientists in Europe.
